Troy graduated with his MA in May 2019 and shortly after began his current position as Operations Coordinator for Student Affairs at Hamline University. Jen Goepfert is truly a life-long Piper. She graduated from Hamline College of Liberal Arts in 1999 with a double major in English and anthropology. After a brief foray into journalism, she went back to Hamline Graduate School of Education for her Master of Arts in Teaching, which she attained in 2011. An educator for nearly 20 years, Jen began first as a high school English teacher, and she most recently became a Responsive Education Consultant, providing coaching, support, and professional development for a number of districts around Minnesota with a focus on engagement, equity, and bridging the gap between practice and outcomes.
Throughout her professional career, Kate Towle ’83 has worked with schools and organizations to foster best practices for engaging youth in the challenges of our times. Since 2016, she has served on the National Peace Literacy Committee for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation to advocate for Peace Literacy as a human right—a skill set as much as a goal. Read about how this committee inspired her and other members of the Hamline community to create the Birds of Peace initiative.
