Merit Scholarships

Available for Transfer Students

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

Presidential Fellowships
Deadline:  Applicants must apply for admission before March 1.  The Presidential Fellowship application and supporting materials must be submitted by March 1. 
Amount awarded:  $5,000 to full tuition
Criteria:  Awarded to students who have at least a 3.5 GPA based on two years of full-time work at a community or junior college.  The Presidential selection committee determines the value of Fellowships. 
Renewable:  One additional year for students maintaining a 3.25 GPA.


Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
 
Deadline: None
Amount awarded: $3,000 to $6,500 (renewable) 
Criteria: Awarded to students who have at least a 3.3 GPA and have demonstrated excellence in both the college classroom and their association with their community or junior college PTK chapter.
Renewable:  One or more additional years

Academic Achievement Awards 
Deadline: None
Amount awarded: $3,000 to $6,500 (renewable) 
Criteria: Awarded to transfers with at least a 3.3 GPA from their transfer school(s). Students must have completed at least 16 semester credits (or the equivalent). 
Renewable:  One or more additional years

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Hamline University Diversity Scholarships
Deadline:  March 1
Amount awarded:  $3,000
Criteria:  Students must complete and return the scholarship application.  Our selection committee will notify winners. 
Renewable:  One to three additional years

Kenyon Scholarships for Biology
Deadline:  February 1
Amount awarded:  $3,500
Criteria:  Students must complete and return the scholarship application.  Our selection committee will notify winners. 
Renewable:  One to three additional years. 

Robbins Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarships
Deadline:  February 1
Amount awarded:  Up to $2,000
Criteria:  Students must complete the online scholarship application.  Our selection committee will notify winners. 
Renewable:  One to three additional years. 

United Methodist Matching Scholarships
Deadline:  May 15
Amount Awarded:  Up to $2,000
Criteria:  Available only to Methodist students, who may apply at the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry's online application site. 
Renewable:  One to three additional years.
