Hamline University's College of Liberal Arts is now accepting applications for Spring and Fall 2008.
Welcome! The admission process at Hamline University provides the admission staff the opportunity to learn about you, your goals and your accomplishments. The information contained in the application is sometimes the only information the university has about you as a student, a leader, and a prospective member of our campus community. For this reason, we encourage you to visit campus and meet with a member of the admission staff. The admission process at Hamline is thorough, but not complicated, and the admission staff is always available to help you understand what will happen next as you prepare to enter your first year of college.

Admission Review Process & Requirements
Hamline has a holistic admission process. We look carefully at your high school transcript (grades 9-12). Course selection, grades, weighted/unweighted cumulative GPA, weighted/unweighted class rank (if available), ACT or SAT scores, activity list, and recommendations are all important factors considered in our review process. Additionally, your senior year courses and performance are important.
Because we review files in a holistic manner we do not have a minimum ACT or SAT score or minimum GPA. All factors are important. Specifically, your college prep courses (English, math, social, science, language) and grades are the best predictors for college success. We look for consistency, improvement, and rigor of courses (AP, IB, accelerated, PSEO, CIS, etc). You may provide a supporting statement to help us better understand your application file.
