MA in English as a Second Language
ESL professionals who want to further their understanding of how language systems and language-culture relationships affect learning can earn the MA-ESL online. By earning the Master's in English as a Second Language, graduates will qualify for university and community college ESL positions both in the US and abroad.

Teachers of Adult ESL
This certificate is designed for individuals working in adult ESL educational environments (including ABE) who already have a BA or BS degree. All courses are available online and are listed below:

This is the classroom version of our online program designed for individuals working in adult ESL education who already have a BA or BS degree.

ESL license
Prepares students to fulfill ESL license requirements designated by the Minnesota Board of Teaching. Upon your successful completion of the program, Hamline will recommend you for licensure.

Master of Arts in Teaching-ESL
Students earn a master's degree as they prepare for their initial teaching license in the category that incudes the designation
