Services for Alumni

The CDC is happy to provide services to Hamline graduates including access to the Resource Library and individual consultation.  Assistance is available regarding resume concerns, interviewing, job search strategies, career counseling and related issues.

The CDC provides unlimited service at no cost to alumni who have graduated within the last two years.  Alumni who have graduated more than two years ago are eligible for short term service at no cost, but will be asked to pay for the cost of career inventories if desired.  This fee is payable when the assessments are administered.  If you feel the fee poses a burden, please discuss this with the career counselor during your initial appointment.  Depending on the time of year, appointment availability and service may be limited.

Career Advisors Network

Previously, the Career Advisors network was only available to students and alumni by coming into our office. However, as mentioned above, we have moved to an on-line, password protected system, which also has a networking module. Students are often looking to speak with Hamline graduates just to gain your insights on careers, your degree etc. We need to expand the number of alumni in the network to provide students with a broader range of opportunities. >more

Practice Interview Program (PIP)

Last year, the Practice Inteview Program was overhauled, resulting in more efficient material, policies, procedures and the highest number of participants in any one semester (286 in spring) and a toal of 472 students registered for the year. We had 115 volunteer interviewers (alumni, employer, community members, faculty/staff) and 28 faculty registered their class for the program.

We hope to continue increasing the number of students we are able to serve each year and are in need of additional volunteers. To learn about the program, please click here or contact Janaya Martin, Programming & Events Coordinator.

This is a great way to give back to Hamline without a long term committement!
