Berkson Receives Inaugural Award

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) has announced the creation of an inaugural Berkson Courageous Colleague Award, which was presented to Hamline University Professor Mark Berkson. This award was created to honor faculty who go above and beyond to defend their colleagues' rights to free speech and academic freedom.

Professor Berkson received the award at this year’s FIRE Faculty Conference in Alexandria, Virginia. To show their appreciation for Professor Berkson’s courage, FIRE honored him with a trophy and honorarium. His comments can be viewed at this link.
