The Hamline Plan: Undergraduate Curriculum
Registration and Records
A different approach to your general education requirements
When you attend Hamline University, your general education plan is not just a series of classes to take in certain subjects. Instead, from the Hamline Plan to your major, you'll get a skills-based education to develop the knowledge and skills that employers want.
E: Expository writing
one course
This requirement is fulfilled by FYW 1120: Composition and Research and writing-intensive FYSEMs, which must be completed during your first year at Hamline.
If you do not complete a writing-intensive course during a year, you must complete an extra writing-intensive course the following year.

You must complete enough fine arts courses to equal eight credits.
N: Natural science
