Reporting from Thailand: Study Away Students' Stories and Photos Published

Professor Ishida's Reporting from Thailand Summer 2022 program participants have had their wildlife stories published in multiple locations since their return to Hamline.

Zoe Lamps (graduated summer 22), and her partner have received a reporting credit on a story in the Southeast Asia Globe; Paul Isidort's photos that accompany his partner's story will be published in an upcoming issue of US News & World Report. Another program participant's images and story has been published in Mongabay, a conservation and wildlife online news platform.

Ishida's program partnered with Round Earth Media and the Internaitonal Women's Media Foundation to provide student journalists and photo journalists the opportunity to gain in the field experience while on the short term faculty-led program.

The next installment of this groundbreaking program will happen in J-term 2023, applications are currently open to all interested students. For questions, please connect with the GEC at gec@hamline.edu.
