The 2023 Xcel Energy Scholarship application is now available. This is a one-time $5,000 scholarship for low-income students of color in specific majors at one of the seventeen Minnesota Private Colleges. The deadline is Monday, Oct. 2. To apply, students can find the application on the financial aid outside scholarship page.
Eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Sophomore or Junior
- Students identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, person of color)
- Approved majors: Accounting, Communications, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Math, Computer Science, Construction Management, Chemistry
- Attend one of the Minnesota Private Colleges and Universities
- Minnesota resident – home residence must be in Xcel Energy Service Area
