FIRST GENERATION SPEED NETWORKING RECEPTION

4:00-6:00 PM

This is a chance to meet and talk with other Hamline first generation students, staff and faculty to talk about shared experiences. You will have the opportunity to expand their community on campus and gain advice, resources, and perspective from others who have navigated higher education as First Gen students.

Planned discussion topics include:

Financial Responsibility/Independence
The First in the Family - Pride and Pressure; Passions and Career
Finding Your Community
Imposter Syndrome: The Hidden Curriculum
Navigating unspoken expectations, culture, and policies
Stress and Mental Wellness
