From Moving Atoms to Medicine: Exploring the Nanoscale World

Mitsch Lecture

3M/Ronald A. Mitsch Lecture in Chemistry  

Guest lecturer: Paul S. Weiss, distinguished professor of chemistry, University of California, Los Angeles

Biology functions at the nanoscale. Thus, there are special opportunities not only to make biological measurements using nanotechnology, but also to interact directly in order to influence biological outcomes. Learn how we fabricate and use nanostructures to advance high-throughput gene editing for cellular therapies targeting genetic diseases and cancer immunotherapy.

Fireball Dance

Nicollet Island Pavilion

Fireball is Hamline’s annual off-campus, semi-formal dance. Held on a Saturday each spring, students get dressed up, load the buses, and enjoy a night on the town with appetizers, a DJ, and dancing. 

Mark your calendars! This year's Fireball Dance will be on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 8 to 11:30 p.m. at the Nicollet Island Pavilion.
