It is important to know that outside agencies do not have authority to independently arrange on-campus remediation such as on-campus housing changes, academic accommodations, assistance with financial aid, student employment, or other campus needs.
Sexual Offense Services (SOS)
Sexual Offense Services (SOS) is a non-profit organization providing outreach, advocacy, and support to survivors of sexual violence and their partners, families, and friends throughout Ramsey County. Their advocates listen, believe, support, accompany, offer information and referrals, and provide peer counseling to survivors of assault, past and present. SOS maintains a 24-hour crisis and support line and offers 24-hour advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse. Visit SOS's website or call them at 651-266-1000
Sexual Assault Nurse Examination (SANE)
Sexual Assault Nurse Examination (SANE) and Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) programs ensure a victim will be treated by a specially trained nurse who is sensitive to his or her particular needs. It also ensures proper collection of forensic evidence, and maintains proper chain of custody issues if a case is brought to trial. SANE and SAFE programs are available at:
