Francesca Ippoliti received her B.S. in Chemistry in 2017 from the University of St. Thomas, where she carried out research on drug and gene delivery under the direction of Professor Lisa E. Prevette. In 2022, she received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, where her graduate research focused on total synthesis in the laboratory of Professor Neil K. Garg. During her time in graduate school, Francesca also developed interactive educational resources to help students learn organic chemistry concepts. She then became a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she conducted research on photochemical reactions in the laboratory of Professor Tehshik P. Yoon.
Francesca started as an Assistant Professor at Hamline University in 2023. Her research at Hamline University focuses on strained intermediates, photochemical methodologies, and the synthesis of biologically-relevant small molecules.
