Casper Voyles

Assistant Professor - Public Health

Dr. Casper Voyles is an assistant professor of public health teaching in the public health and social justice and social change programs. His research, educational, and professional roles have been centered in the areas of LGBTQ+ health and social inclusion, providing support for inclusion in work and play spaces.

His recent projects have focused on the factors that influence LGBTQ+ participation in sports, LGBTQ+ cultural awareness in the U.S. Fire and Rescue Service, and how international Pride events affect health.

Students who take classes with Professor Voyles will critically examine the various influences on human health. His classes often provide opportunities for students to collaborate with local public health organizations to apply their skills from the classroom to address pressing issues in today's world.

Professor Voyles is delighted to have returned to Minnesota, where he is back on the ice playing hockey, walking his dog around the lakes, and touring all the best coffee shops in the Cities.
