Attending an information session is a great way to learn more about Hamline’s graduate MFA degrees in creative writing and writing for children and young adults (MFAC).

When you join us for a virtual information session, you’ll not only learn more about our programs; you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with program faculty and staff and learn about what makes Hamline’s graduate creative writing programs stand apart, including our published and award-winning alumni
  • Talk with our admission counselors about the application process and make sure you have what you need to get your application submitted quickly and successfully

Join us for the day on July 20, 2024, and experience first-hand what it means to be a member of our MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults (MFAC) writing community. You can attend in person or virtually.

MFAC Prospective Student Day

8:30-9:00 a.m. Check-in
9:00 a.m. New student welcome
9:15-10:15 a.m. Faculty author lectures (critical essays, ways of making a living as a writer, etc.)
10:30-11:30 a.m. Alumni panel
11:40 a.m. -12:45 p.m. Lunch: Meet with faculty, students, and alumni
1:00-3:15 p.m. Faculty author lectures
Optional: Stay for dinner and readings from graduates
