Still deciding on your major? The digital and studio art department is always looking for gifted digital artists, designers, and filmmakers. Whether you want to specialize in video, audio, web, or graphic design, this program will give you the tools to develop your craft and create engaging works of art. Digital and studio art scholarship criteria
Are you wondering how to get a digital and studio art scholarship and if you can apply? Students have to submit their admission materials and receive an offer of admission to Hamline before applying for any departmental scholarships.
Applicants will be reviewed based on the quality and creativity displayed in their portfolio of work samples. Scholarship finalists will then be invited to interview with our faculty for further discussion about digital and studio art.
To maintain the scholarship annually, students must:
- Declare a major in digital and studio art with a concentration in graphic and interactive design or a concentration in media arts by the end of their sophomore year
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
- Participate in yearly portfolio reviews and be active in program activities
