Are you interested in STEM? You can apply for a STEM Scholarship worth up to $3,000. The scholarship supports students who have a demonstrated aptitude in STEM fields. This award can be renewed for three years if you meet the eligibility requirements. Find out how to get a STEM scholarship below.
We encourage prospective students to learn more about STEM at Hamline, where we have more than 10 STEM programs that prepare students for graduate study or rewarding careers. STEM scholarship application
- To apply for the scholarship, you’ll log in using the same email address and password that you used for your admission application account.
- If you have forgotten your password, select “Forgot your password?” and follow the instructions.
I received a call from my admission advisor a few months after I applied to Hamline. He asked if I was sitting down, and he told me I got the STEM scholarship. It was a huge weight off my back—with that scholarship, I could declare and go to Hamline.
STEM scholarship criteria
Wondering how to get a STEM scholarship and if you’re eligible to apply? Students have to submit their admission materials and receive an offer of admission to Hamline before applying for any departmental scholarships.
Applicants will be reviewed based on their academic performance in science and math coursework, involvement in STEM-related research or activities, and responses to the required essay prompt.
To maintain the STEM scholarship annually, students must:
- Declare a major in a STEM program by the end of their sophomore year (including biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, public health sciences, forensic science, exercise science, computational data science, pre-engineering, mathematics, or neuroscience) OR declare a minor in forensic science
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
