Seema G. Pothini, Social Justice Symposium speaker

Ally? Accomplice? Advocate? Just Act.

Description

What does it mean to be an ally? How can you shift from focusing on intent to focusing on impact? Join us to learn how you can individually and collectively make a positive difference in your community, workplace, campus, educational system, or any other type of group by recognizing and responding to barriers. Participants will leave with inspiration, strategies, and connections to continue Shirley Chisholm’s legacy of advocating for underrepresented groups, fighting for inclusion, and inspiring action.

Seema G. Pothini is the workshop presenter. Seema brings decades of experience in the professional setting as an author, global consultant, educator, adjunct professor, business director, president of nonprofit boards, and advocate for inclusive communities. The third edition of her book, Case Studies on Diversity and Social Justice Education, is used widely as a resource for readers to gain better insight into a variety of perspectives.
