Kathryn Malody is the Laboratory Manager and Lab Instructor in the Biology department in Hamline University’s College of Liberal Arts. She is a broadly trained biologist with an emphasis on Minnesota plants and plant communities. She is an active member of NAOSMM, a national organization of laboratory managers. Malody holds a BA in biology and environmental studies from Macalester College and an MS in botany from the University of Minnesota. 

Kathryn Malody is very passionate about what she teaches and loves the “hands-on” approach of the lab environment whether in a laboratory class or one-on-one with biology department student workers. She actively tries to prepare students for a future in biology by holding them up to high professional and academic standards.
