Professional Experience
Before I came to Hamline, I worked at counseling centers at Eastern Illinois University, University of Minnesota and Michigan State University. I also have experience working and volunteering at community mental health settings, such as the Walk-In Counseling Center; Community University Health Care Center and Taipei Municipal Yang-Ming Hospital. I am proud to say that I facilitated and organized the very first gay support group in northern Taiwan before I came to Minnesota to pursue my doctoral degree.
Professional Interests
Being a Chinese immigrant and an international student for many years, I enjoy working with non-traditional college students, international students and students who don’t feel that they are fitting in anywhere. I also like to work with students who struggle with depression, anxiety and making career decisions. My therapy approaches include person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness, etc.
Personal Interests
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching the Food Network channel, trying new food, playing tennis, practicing yoga and bonding with my two mischievous cats.
