Water~Stone Review, the literary annual housed in Hamline's Creative Writing MFA program, was recently honored by Best American Short Stories 2022 as a Notable Special Issue. This is a remarkable testament to the work of student editors Robyn Earhart, Larissa Larson, Zoey Gulden, and Vickie McCurdy; contributing editors, including Hamline professors Sheila O'Connor and Carolyn Holbrook; and staff member Meghan Maloney-Vinz, who serves as the executive editor of the journal.
The same publication also awarded notable mentions to two essays featured in the latest edition: Zibiquah Denny's "The Buckskin Dress", and Anne Owen Shea's "What Will Not Change". Additionally, Best American Short Stories 2022 listed TN Eyer's "Date of Death" /which also appears in Vol 24, as a notable short story for the year.
The latest edition of Water~Stone Review, Vol. 25, was recently launched and is now available for purchase as are back issues (including the noted Vol. 24. A reading celebrating the work in Vol. 25 will be held on December 2 at the Klas Center. Mark your calendars now. More information coming soon.
