2023 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration

Join members of the University and neighboring communities on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the Anderson Center Forum for a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy as we reflect upon his life, leadership and pursuit of racial and social justice. This year’s program, focused on “Revisiting the Forgotten and Overlooked Passages: A Prelude to Dr. King’s ‘I Have a Dream Speech”/* will feature faculty, staff and student participants as well as remarks from President Fayneese Miller. Rounding out the program will be musical selections from special guests, Billy Steel, Tonia Hughes-Kendricks and Sara Renner, as well as the announcement of the 2023 Beloved Community Awards.
