Kris Norman has been awarded the 2023 Outstanding Mentorship Award from the Section for Women in Public Administration of the American Society for Public Administration. This award honors an individual, who by example and action, has provided outstanding service and mentorship to women and/or graduate students in public administration and/or academia.
According to the award letter, Norman's "commitment and leadership as a proactive mentor to women has been consistently demonstrated through your roles as professor, professional service, and all-around support system and cheerleader."
