Nominations for la Plante, Commitment to Student Development Awards

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking your assistance in finding worthy recipients for two important awards. Please take a moment to submit your nominations for the Trish LaPlante Award and the Commitment to Student Development Award. 

The Trish la Plante Distinguished Service Award is given annually to a Student Affairs Professional who demonstrates exemplary leadership and service to student life, Student Affairs, and the Hamline University community; and/or has assumed new leadership and/or started new initiatives (beyond regular position duties) that support student learning, student development, or student success; and/or has achieved success in implementing a large project beyond regular position responsibilities. 

Nomination criteria for Trish la Plante Award
Students, staff, and faculty are all able to nominate.
No self-nominations and no nominations of students for the award. 
Recipient must have been staff at Hamline for three years or longer.
Recipient must be a part of the Division of Student Affairs

Awards are primarily intended for individuals; if a group is collectively nominated, all of the nominees must have made significant contributions to the effort being recognized. Click this link to submit a nomination for the Trish LaPlante Award.

The Commitment to Student Development Award is granted to an external Hamline staff or faculty member who has provided noteworthy support for the mission of Student Affairs. The recipient demonstrates exemplary leadership and service to student life, Student Affairs, and the Hamline University community.  

The recipient of this award will be decided by a single committee, and the award will be given at the divisional End of the Year celebration in May.

Nomination criteria for Commitment to Student Development Award
Only Student Affairs Staff are able to nominate.
No self-nominations and no nominations of students for the award.
Recipient must have been at Hamline for three years or longer.
Recipient may be any faculty or staff not in the Student Affairs Division.
