A photo essay about the bonding between Thai elephants and their mahouts co-produced by communication studies senior Chloe Kucera and Joanna Johnson ’23 was published in the Christian Science Monitor. You can find the article here.
The article was part of Professor Suda Ishida’s Study Away course on Environmental News Reporting from Thailand in January 2023. Students who participated in this course also received mentorship from local Thai journalists, an independent photojournalist Lauren Decicca, New York Times foreign correspondent Richard Paddock and Round Earth Media program director Mary Stucky.
