Associate Professor Patty Born, School of Education and Leadership, will attend the European Early Childhood Research Association conference in Portugal this August, where she will present her research on the impact of teacher discourse on children's relationships with animals. She will also discuss her book "Earth-Friendly Early Childhood Program" which is under review by the Ministry of Education for inclusion in Portugal's national teacher preparation curriculum.
