Kathryn Malody attended the NAOSMM (National Association of Scientific Materials Managers) as Chair of the History and Archives committee during the week of July 30 - August 4.
Kathryn presented a historical display for the organization and moderated a general session. In recognition for her years of service in NAOSMM, she received the organization's Lamar Houston Award. According to the citation, the Lamar Houston Award "was inspired by the NAOSMM founder and is given to an individual for exceptional service to NAOSMM. This individual’s service is integral to the survival and forward movement of NAOSMM. The recipient shows continuous involvement in NAOSMM activities over a number of years, is always willing to help out and is just an all-around volunteer of whom everyone knows. This individual has set a new standard for his/her area of service and usually changes the way NAOSMM operates."
