Town Hall Conversation with Ward 4 Councilmember Mitra Jalali

Hamline University Undergraduate Student Congress invites all students to a town hall with Ward 4 Councilmember Mitra Jalali on Thursday, October 19 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Kay Fredericks Room. The event will be livestreamed here.  CM Jalali will open the floor to questions and topics from students, to help define and develop a broader shared vision about what Saint Paul could and should be be -- and to help us better understand how we can achieve this vision. This session will be moderated by HUSC leaders, who will shape discussion using questions asked at the conversation and developed from the survey linked here. The forum is a chance for younger citizens to connect with our city’s leaders, in a space focused on your voice, your vision, and your priorities. What do you love most about Saint Paul?  What do you find most challenging, or concerning?  When you think about the next ten years, as you move through your degree and then on to your next professional goals, what do you hope for, or worry about, in the communities across this city? What about right now? It will also be a chance to better understand how decisions get made about priorities and planning, and how best to mobilize and use City processes to achieve these goals.
