University Chaplain Kelly Figeroa-Ray and University Rabbi Esther Adler made presentations at this week's American Academy of Religion (AAR) conference in San Antonio, TX. This past year, Chaplain Kelly has served as the co-Chair of the Scriptural Reasoning Unit.
Chaplain Kelly presented on the topic "‘'When you open your heart to patriotism’: The Use of Psalm 133:1 in Donald Trump’s Inauguration Speech” in the "Vote is a Kind of Prayer: The Politics of Scripture" session. She will also preside over the Scriptural Reasoning Unit Session entitled Traditions in Translation.
Rabbi Esther presented at the Scriptural Reasoning Unit session on Rebirth and Renewal. She presented on “Deuteronomy 30:1-6.”
