Brighton McCormick, visiting faculty in the department of Digital + Studio Arts, brought 8 Hamline Art Majors to The Chicago Ave Fire Arts Center for blacksmithing class earlier this month. Students learned traditional blacksmithing techniques and made art works of their own. D+SA plans to continue offering opportunities at community art centers in spring semester.
