Dr. Patty Born (director of the MA in Natural Science and Environmental Education, co-director Environmental and Climate Studies major) and Dr. Linnette Werner (Director of the undergraduate Leadership Minor) attended the United Nations climate talks at COP28 in Dubai.
While there, Dr. Born hosted a meeting on climate change education and leadership for US-based teachers. Dr. Born also participated in three youth-led panels on Climate Literacy, Climate Justice, and the impacts of climate change on youth mental health.
Drs. Born and Werner will be presenting the results of their experience at a Brown Bag lunch hosted by the Hamline School of Education and Leadership on Wednesday, February 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm. in West Hall 200.
