Ken Fox (School of Business) was the invited morning plenary presenter at the 2024 League of Minnesota Cities annual Elected Leaders' Institute: Advanced Program on February 10. He presented a three-hour session on "the Art of Negotiation" for approximately 100 mayors, city council members and other elected local leaders from across Minnesota.
Fox was also invited to present two graduate seminars at the Institute for the Study of Mediation and Negotiation (IFOMENE) at the Catholic University of Paris, February 2-5. The first session was an overview of the American system of alternative dispute resolution. The second seminar was a comparison between the philosophy and practices that animate restorative justice and the principles that underlie a transformative approach to mediation practice. The sessions were attended by lawyers, organizational leaders and graduate students from multiple graduate programs.
