Basford, Lewis Present in Anaheim

Education professors Letitia Basford and Joe Lewis presented their research at the Association for Teacher Educators conference in Anaheim, California.  Their session focused on the transformative experiences of a teacher-- the former Hamline University graduate Colin Perucco-- who fought to defend his curricular choices and advocate for LGBTQ+ students. They offered recommendations to teachers for navigating the culture wars and the real life controversies facing teachers in K-12 schools today.
