Hamline physics students Lucas Liabraaten ’26, Diego Luna Gutierrez ’26, Shelby Phillips ’26, and Professor Lifeng Dong presented their research findings at the TechConnect World Innovation Conference & Expo held from June 16-18, 2024. Their project, titled "Enhanced Detection of Lead Ions in Drinking Water Using Bismuth Nanoparticles," was financially supported by the EPA People, Prosperity, and Planet Award. The TechConnect World Innovation Conference & Expo connects top applied research and early-stage innovations from universities, labs, and startups with industry end-users and prospectors.
