Hamline students Hafsa Ahmed ’24, Gaoiaong Lee ’24, Hailey Brady ’25, Oscar Hinojosa ’25 and Layla Stenson ’27 presented their research on antibiotic discovery at the National Tiny Earth Symposium in Madison, WI. The projects presented were done as part of the research in the classroom component of Professor Martinez-Vaz's microbiology class and Hamline's SCUR program. The Tiny Earth Summer Research Symposium showcases undergraduate students' work on antibiotic-producing bacteria and innovative techniques to identify new antimicrobial compounds."
