Mary Jensen named Hamline Vice President for Enrollment Management

Mary Jensen has been named Hamline University’s new Vice President for Enrollment Management, culminating a nationwide search. Jensen will join the Hamline community and welcome the incoming class at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.

"I am truly excited to join Hamline University as the next Vice President for Enrollment Management, eager to uphold and expand upon our proud history of firsts and commitment to educate all,” Jensen said. “Hamline's distinctive approach, blending career readiness with a deep liberal arts foundation, uniquely positions our students for success in both their careers and civic lives. I am dedicated to advancing this tradition by ensuring that our educational commitments empower all students to contribute positively and effectively to society."

Jensen’s experience in the higher education field extends for 27 years, most recently as Vice President for Enrollment and Strategic Growth at Eastern Mennonite University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Harrisonburg, Virginia – a position she has held for three years. She has also served as Associate Provost of that institution, and director/faculty of the university’s Leadership and Organizational Management program.

From 1997-2015, Jensen worked at Bethel University as Associate Dean in the Office of Academic Affairs in addition to other, prior positions including acting as extended adjunct faculty and leading the university’s marriage and family therapy program.

Jensen received her bachelor's degree in music education from Northwestern College in Roseville, her master's degree in counselor education at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and her EdD in organizational development at the University of St. Thomas.

Jensen will assume her duties on August 1.
