Professor Jillian Peterson, Director of the Violence Prevention Project Research Center, co-authored a new paper with Professor James Densley (Metro State) in the Journal of Crime and Justice entitled, "Murder in a time of crisis: A qualitative exploration of the 2020 homicide spike through offender interviews." This study, based on interviews with 18 men incarcerated for committing homicide, examines the 2020 Twin Cities spike in murder through the eyes of the perpetrators themselves.
