Dear Information Seekers, save yourself a LOT of copy | pasting and clicking! Bush Memorial Library is pleased to introduce LibKey Nomad, a browser extension that ‘knows’ which articles in a Wikipedia bibliography, PubMed, and other content platforms are included in a paid Bush Library subscription—and LibKey Nomad will open those subscribed article PDFs at the click of a button. Here is a video clearly demonstrating the power of this tool and the rest of the LibKey Suite.
All public and lab computers on campus will have this browser extension installed; and via the University’s Software Center (available in your campus computer’s applications menu), it will soon be available for faculty, staff, and administrators to add to their favorite browser. Hamline students should follow the installation instructions given in the video linked here.
Additionally, the LibKey Suite, including Nomad, is being implemented by major corporations such as Medtronic and 3M, so students can gain a potential job skill simply by using LibKey in their work. If you have questions or would like assistance installing the browser extension, please email csd@hamline.edu . We're happy to help!
