The search for Hamline’s new Director of Human Resources will begin this week. In the meantime, Derek Cotton (currently our Human Resources Partner) has agreed to serve as the Interim Director of Human Resources. The HR lead position, which was previously an Associate Vice President of Human Resources, will be posted as a Director of Human Resources.
Derek’s interim appointment is effective January 1, 2025, and you will see him on campus in that role beginning next week. Derek was a contractor at Hamline for three years before becoming an employee four years ago. We appreciate Derek’s willingness to step into this role.
