Reimer Engages With South Asian Educators

Hamline School of Education and Leadership professor Julia Reimer served as an English Language Specialist in Kathmandu, Nepal in January. She facilitated five-day workshops for two cohorts of 20 English language professionals from Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The workshops were designed to enhance the teacher training skills of participants, and were co-sponsored by the Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association and the Regional English Language Office of the US Embassy in Nepal. Funded by the US Department of State, English Language Programs connect American TESOL professionals with US Embassies around the world. These programs seek to foster public diplomacy and mutual understanding through cultural exchange.
