With Spring Semester fast approaching, Public Safety wants to remind everyone about the Hamline Parking Policy and share updates that will go into effect this upcoming Spring Semester starting on January 27, 2025.
Parking enforcement is 7 days a week/24 hours a day in all Hamline lots during the academic semesters. Permits to park in Hamline lots are required during the academic semesters and available for all students/staff/faculty (full time/part time, graduate/undergraduate). After a two week grace period each semester, enforcement of the parking lots will begin including ticketing for non-compliance.
Spring 2025 parking enforcement will begin on February 10, 2025.
Those who do not wish to purchase a parking permit continue to have the options of the Anderson ramp guest parking for $2/hour and street parking available on Pascal, Hewitt, and other neighboring streets. We still ask that you register your vehicle with Public Safety in case of emergency.
Below are the different parking passes Hamline University offers; please note the new graduate student pass.
Student Parking Permits
All are charged as a one-time payment to your student account in fall semester and allow access to any lot on campus, so long as you are parked in a valid parking spot.

Surface Lot Pass - $285/year

Apartments Garage Pass - $520/year

Allows access to the Student Apartments underground parking ramp

NOTE: If passes are purchased at the beginning of spring semester, the charge will be 50%.
Faculty/Staff Parking Permits
All allow access to any lot on campus, so long as you are parked in a valid parking spot.

Paid through monthly payments of $65 for August-May and allows card access to the Anderson ramp
