Global Studies Sponsors Disability Community Event

Global & International Studies hosted an author talk for students in the course "Disability in Local & Global Worlds," along with community partner organizations MSS and Interact Center for the Visual & Performing Arts. Sixty people joined the event to engage with Dr. Sefakor Komabu-Pomeyie, who has been called the world’s sixth most influential person living with a disability. Originally from Ghana, Dr. Komabu-Pomeyie currently works at the University of Vermont’s College of Nursing & Health Sciences. She and Professor Kathryn Geurts have co-authored four articles focused on collaborative research about Ghana.
