On March 10, 2025, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) announced the 2025 Inclusive Excellence Award winners during its recent Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Kareem J. Watts received the “Outstanding Dissertation Award.”
The Outstanding Dissertation Award recognizes completed dissertations, either quantitative or qualitative, that have contributed substantially to the literature and to the field of diversity and inclusion in higher education. These dissertations serve as exemplary models of research that not only inform, but also elevate the discourse.
NADOHE celebrates individuals and institutions for their exemplary achievements and contributions to lead higher education toward inclusive excellence. Each year, nominations for the Inclusive Excellence Awards are submitted on behalf of higher education administrators, scholars and institutions who are leaders in advancing inclusion by means of research, leadership and service.
