Marketing and Communications Restructuring Update

Hamline University has recently unified its previously separate Marketing and Communications departments into a single unit under centralized leadership. This restructuring responds to evolving institutional needs and reflects our commitment to aligning more closely with strategic priorities.

This new structure is designed to position the team for future success—ready to take on emerging opportunities and drive high-impact work in support of several core goals: advancing the university’s brand reputation, enhancing enrollment, and strengthening engagement with donors and alumni. As the “front door” to the university, the department plays a vital role in telling Hamline’s story—reflecting our identity, celebrating the student experience, and showcasing what makes our community distinctive. The integration supports greater collaboration, clarity of purpose, and momentum as we move forward together.

The Office of Marketing and Communications website is currently being updated to reflect the new structure, team members, and areas of responsibility.
