MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults

If you're interested in getting a close-up look at what it's like to be in this exciting program, you are invited to attend our Prospective Student Day, either virtually or in person. You may attend sessions throughout the day. Lunch will be provided for prospective students who attend in person. Afternoon events include workshops and student lectures. A final schedule will be provided a week prior to the event.

Steve Gernes, Hamline University Class of 2010, is an Emmy Award-winning Minnesota-based composer for video games, film, television, and theater. His passion is looking for new and exciting ways to create music for visual media in order to build unique scores that not only serve the project, but bring it to whole new levels. One of his favorite things is finding those strange in-between places that tug at seemingly disparate parts of your mind, and dwelling in that beautifully disconcerting place.
