About Hamline University Faculty Council

Formed pursuant to a constitution approved by all faculty members in spring 2007, Faculty Council consists of 12 elected members representing the schools at Hamline University: College of Liberal Arts, School of Education and Leadership (which is part of the college), and School of Business.

The four-person Executive Committee includes one representative from the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), one from CLA—School of Education and Leadership and/or CLA graduate programs, one from the School of Business, and one at-large member and meets every other week. 

The members of the Executive Committee for the 2024–25 academic year are:

  • Bonnie Ploger (CLA): President 

  • Erik Asp (CLA) President-Elect

  • Jennifer Carlson (CLA-HSEL) Secretary 

  • Bruce Bolon (CLA)
