About author Tracy Nelson Maurer
Tracy Nelson Maurer is the award-winning author of over 100 fiction and nonfiction books for children and young adults. Her work includes Lady Bird Johnson, That’s Who!; Samuel Morse, That’s Who!; John Deere, That’s Who!; Noah Webster’s Fighting Words; and her first picture book, Storm Codes.
Maurer earned her MFAC from Hamline University and lives near Minneapolis, MN. In addition to being a professional writer and editor, she also does a good deal of teaching and mentoring. Outside of her professional pursuits, Maurer and her husband are passionate travelers.
