Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Minor

A TESOL minor opens doors to career opportunities

Get prepared for positions as an English language teacher globally and in community-based programs in the US with Hamline’s Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) minor.

As part of this minor, you’ll complete a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate and gain highly practical skills for planning and teaching English to speakers of other languages. You will also gain linguistic and theoretical understandings of the intersections between language, culture, and second language acquisition.
