Academic Policies
As a Hamline student, you should be aware of important university policies and procedures. Please familiarize yourself with these policies:
- Academic Integrity and the Academic Honor Code: Standards of academic integrity
- Academic Probation/Suspension Policy: Academic requirements to remain in good academic standing and ramifications when falling below those standards
- Advisor Change Form (Word doc): This is to be filled out if you are only changing your advisor and staying in your current major
- If you are adding or changing a major or minor, follow the process found on the Registration and Records page
- Conduct Code: Principles of community have been developed to govern the conduct of undergraduate and graduate students as members of the Hamline community.
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): Legal responsibilities of institutions to maintain confidentiality of student records
- Generic FERPA Waiver (Word doc): Release form to be completed by the student if family or friends accompany them to appointments
- Four-Year Graduation Assurance: Partnership between first-year students and Hamline to ensure bachelor's degree completion within four years
- Leave of Absence or Withdrawal from Hamline: Policy information for students wishing to step away from their program but return at a later time or students who wish to withdraw from the university

- Registration and Records forms: Access to Registration and Records forms online
- Technology Use Policy (view on Policies page): Outlines the responsibilities pertaining to the use of technology on campus
- Undergraduate Bulletin: University catalog that outlines undergraduate academic policy and procedure requirements
