Abby Norlin-Weaver

Coordinator of McVay Youth Partnership

Abby Norlin-Weaver is the McVay Youth Partnership Coordinator, joining the Hamline community in 2024. The drive and focus for Abby in this role is the threefold vision of the McVay Youth Partnership: to offer leadership and mentoring opportunities to undergraduate students, to offer a safe and welcoming place for all youths, and to assist urban churches in serving their neighbors.

Before joining Hamline, Abby served in congregational ministry in the Twin Cities in a variety of roles: as a Summer Camp Director, on a Children’s Ministry Team, and as a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Her background also includes working in aquatics as a swim instructor and coach, and as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in several school districts in the metro area.

Abby holds a B.A. in religion from Gustavus Adolphus College (2009), an M.A. in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry from Luther Seminary (2012), and is completing a GradCert in Spiritual Direction from San Francisco School of Theology through the University of Redlands.
